Narcissus Publishing

Privacy Policy

for authors and collaborators

Narcissus Publishing (“we,” “our,” or “the Publisher”) is committed to maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of all collaboration submissions. By submitting your work, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

Confidentiality & Intellectual property

All submitted information about your (literary) work, manuscripts, proposals, and related materials remains the intellectual property of the author. Form submission does not transfer any ownership or rights to Narcissus Publishing.

Narcissus Publishing will not share, distribute, or use any submitted information for purposes beyond internal review and consideration for potential publication or collaboration.

If they so choose, authors can provide a NDA, which Narcissus Publishing may review and sign. Without a NDA, your work will still be protected by copyright and our privacy policy.

If the individual does not enter a collaboration agreement, any submitted information regarding their (literary) work will not be used or retained in any way.

Liability

Submission of a form does not guarantee acceptance, response, or publication. Narcissus Publishing is not liable for any decisions regarding the review or rejection of a collaboration submission.

While we take reasonable measures to ensure the security of submitted materials, we are not responsible for accidental loss, technical malfunctions, or unauthorised access to digital or physical copies of submission forms.

Narcissus Publishing is not liable for any claims of similarity between submitted works and future published content. We may already be working on or considering projects with similar themes, ideas, or subject matter. We are not responsible for any perceived similarities between submitted works and our published or forthcoming projects.

Financial responsibility

Submitting a collaboration form does not create a contractual relationship between the author and Narcissus Publishing. No financial compensation or publishing agreement is implied unless an official contract is offered and signed by both parties.

Original work

By submitting a manuscript, you confirm that:

  • The work has not been plagiarised or misrepresented in any way.
  • You are the original creator of the work and have the full legal right to submit it.
  • The submission does not infringe upon any third-party rights, including copyrights, trademarks, or intellectual property laws.

Retraction & withdrawal

Authors and collaborators may withdraw their submission form at any time by providing written notice to Narcissus Publishing.

For arc readers

Confidentiality

If you are selected for the ARC program, before receiving an ARC of any book published by Narcissus Publishing, you are required to sign a detailed NDA.

Liability

Submission of a form does not guarantee acceptance to the ARC program. Narcissus Publishing is not liable for any decisions regarding the review or rejection of an ARC submission.

Review

Partaking in the ARC program means to agree that the conditions of receiving an advance copy are to submit at least one review to platforms including but not limited to Goodreads, The StoryGraph, Amazon, and Bol.com.

You are required to follow the policies of these platforms, which may include but is not limited to including that you received a free ARC from the author or publisher in exchange for a review.

Not complying to these terms will result in your removal from the ARC program.

Please always leave honest reviews. The content of your review does not have any influence in your participation in the ARC program or future ARC programs hosted by Narcissus Publishing.
