What is the selection/submission process like?
Narcissus Publishing does not have a formal selection or submission process. Any aspiring author or other collaborator can fill in an author or collaborator sign up form and we will get in contact. The most important thing is that your values align with the company and that we have the correct expectations of our collaboration.
Do I have to pay to publish my book with Narcissus Publishing?
If you want to publish with Narcissus Publishing, you pay a small monthly fee to cover a portion of the platforms that you would like to use. Paid services can include:
- Company registered at KVK – no need to register a new company for yourself
- Get featured on the website – no need to register your own domain, build a website, or perform SEO
- Company e-mail address
- Newsletter – share updates through our newsletter
- Distribution through CB – use our subscription at CB to distribute your books to any booksellers in the Netherlands and Flanders (BE)
- Online store – no need to set up your own store if you want to directly sell your books or other merch
- Marketing – polished posts before, during and after your book release across all our social media platforms
Which services you want to use, is totally up to you. So the price completely depends on your needs. If you want more details you can reach out here and we can provide a detailed price list. You can always adjust which services you require.
We are currently not charging not charging for community or advisor services.
Any royalties you earn, are 100% yours. We don’t take a cut. The only thing you pay us is the small monthly fee based on the services you use.
Is Narcissus Publishing a Traditional Publisher?
Narcissus Publishing is a publishing company, however, we work a little differently from traditional or even hybrid publishers. We want to help authors with some practical aspects of publishing while authors regain all the creative control just as they would when they self-publish.
The goal is to connect like-minded authors and other creative professionals who can help you along every step of the way of a process that you would otherwise have to do all by yourself.
what are the benefits for me?
Financially, you only have to pay for a portion of the platforms that we use instead of paying the full price if you would use these platforms by yourself. Any royalties you earn, are 100% yours. The only thing you pay us is the small monthly fee based on the services you use.
Professionally, you can connect with people who have experience with everything you need to publish a book.
Emotionally, you become part of team of creative individuals who are there to raise you up and support you when you need.
What language do i need to speak?
Narcissus Publishing uses both English and Dutch. As long as you can speak one of those, you are good to go.
Does it matter where I am located?
Narcissus Publishing is mainly focused on building a community of authors and creative individuals from the Netherlands and Flanders (BE). This does not mean you have to be Dutch or Belgian!
